How to reach the event

The closest airports, all connected to Nove Hrady by public transportation, are: Linz, Austria: 110 km (1:30 hours by car) from Nove Hrady; Vienna, Austria: 180 km (2:15 hours by car) from Nove Hrady; Prague, Czech Republic: 190 km (2:15 hours by car) from Nove Hrady; Brno, Czech Republic: 190 km (2:45 hours by car) from Nove Hrady.

From Prague, Czech Republic

Take a train (recommended) or a bus to České Budějovice and then take either:

a) a bus to Nové Hrady. The bus station in České Budějovice is on the top of the DOC Mercury shopping center, which is very close to the Railway station.

b) a train from České Budějovice to Nové Hrady train station (train line České Budějovice – České Velenice (- Wien)). Train station Nové Hrady is located 5 km from the town of Nove Hrady and conference center. There is a bus connection from train station to town but if you arrive at times when there is no bus please email us in advance to arrange pickup.

From Vienna, Austria

Take a train to České Velenice – town on the border between Czech Republic and Austria. It is one town split by the border, the Czech part is called České Velenice and Austrian part is called Gmünd NÖ. Some trains terminate in Gmünd, the last station in Austria, so take the trains that continue to Ceske Velenice. Trains to Gmünd/Č.Velenice depart from following Vienna stations: Wien Franz-Josefs-Bahnhof, Wien Spittelau and Wien Heiligenstadt. From České Velenice get a train to Nové Hrady train station (train line (Wien-)České Velenice – České Budějovice). Train station Nové Hrady is located 5 km from the town of Nove Hrady and conference center. There is a bus connection from train station to town but if you arrive at times when there is no bus please email us in advance to arrange pickup.

From Linz, Austria

Take a train to České Budějovice and then continue to Nove Hrady by bus or by train (as described in travel from Prague). Some trains from Linz terminate in Summerau (the last station in Austria). If there is no connecting train to České Budějovice we must pick you up by car from Summerau train station (50 km from N.Hrady); please contact us in advance to arrange transport.
There is also a bus connection from Linz to Gmünd via Freistadt. You can get off in Weitra (14 km from N.Hrady) and we will pick you up upon your request.

Arriving by car

The road from Ceske Budejovice to Nove Hrady is clearly marked. The chateau with its large garden is the first historical building that one can see on the way to the town square. Parking is available on the premises.
